A screw thread tap, also known as a wire thread tap or ST tap, is a tap specially designed for machining the mounting hole of a wire thread tap (or thread sheath). Unlike ordinary taps, screw tap has a special geometry and cutting angle to ensure that when installing the steel wire sleeve, the internal thread of the hole can be perfectly matched with the external thread of the sleeve, so as to achieve a tight and reliable connection.
Main features:
1. Precise matching: the thread specification of the screw tap matches the specification of the outer thread of the steel wire sleeve, which ensures that the sleeve can be installed accurately.
2. High hardness material: Screw Sleeve Taps are usually made of high hardness materials such as high speed steel (HSS) or cemented carbide to cope with the cutting of hard base materials.
3. Special coatings: In order to improve wear resistance and reduce friction during the cutting process, screw taps may be coated with special coatings such as TiN (Titanium Nitride).
4. Good guidance: Screw-in taps have good guidance to ensure straightness and perpendicularity when machining threaded holes.
5. Specialised design: The design of the screw tap takes into account the special requirements of the wire sleeve, such as hole diameter, pitch and thread shape, to ensure optimal installation.

Usage:
1. Pre-drilling: Drill initial holes in the base material to fit the taps of the Screw Jacket.
2. Tapping: Use the screw tap to machine internal threads in the pre-drilled hole to ensure accuracy and finish of the threads.
3. Installation of Screw Sleeve: Use special installation tools to install the wire screw sleeve into the machined threaded hole.
Screw tap is a necessary tool for processing the installation holes of the steel wire sleeve, and the precision of its design and manufacture directly affects the reliability and performance of the final threaded connection. When selecting a screw tap, make sure that its specifications match those of the steel wire sleeve to obtain the best processing results.
